Matt Sesow and James Coleman will debut their "double-headed monster” exhibit at Nozoku Gallery on April 27th through June 2nd.

Nozoku Gallery, the newbie to the Castleberry Hill art district continues to make a name for itself by hosting exhibits that fall outside the traditional art box. Nozoku is responsible for introducing Atlantans to little-known local and national artists. The show running from April 27th, 2007 through June 2nd will be no different as Nozoku hosts the accomplished artist Matt Sesow, along with his former apprentice, J. Coleman, in their two man exhibit entitled "DOUBLE-HEADED MONSTER". Although Sesow may not have reached the Picasso status just yet, the self-taught artist is well on his way.

Having exhibited in France, Costa Rica, and Bulgaria, among others, Matt Sesow has developed an extensive fan base and received much acclaim. 3. Coleman is less known, but just as competent as his former mentor, Matt Sesow. Of his work for this exhibit, J. Coleman says, “The production of work for this show proved itself to be liberating and therapeutic in all the ways painting should be. Each layer of information applied to the canvas felt like separate screams that in the end became one harmonious voice.” Those familiar with Sesow would say the same is true of his work.

‘At the opening reception on April 27th, 2007 at 7pm, both Matt Sesow and J. Coleman will be present, with each of them creating a live installation during the evening. It is rare that such recognized artists entertain the smaller arts communities and so this is an event not to be missed.

Nozoku Gallery is located at 200 Walker Street, in Atlanta's Castleberry Hill Art District. The "double-headed monster” exhibit opens on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 7pm.
